A funeral will be held Saturday, December 15^th, 2007 for 88-year-old Melvin A. Hoehn of Perryville, who died Tuesday, December 11^th, 2007 at the Perry County Nursing Home.

He was born August 23^rd, 1919 in Perryville, the son of Albert and Emma (Bergmann) Hoehn. They preceded him in death.

He married Meta Weber October 23^rd, 1948. She preceded him in death.

He is survived by a son and daughter in law, John and Erin Hoehn of St. Louis; three grandchildren, Justin, Kathryn and Kelsey.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Lloyd; three sisters, Lillian Roth, Leola Feagins and Anna Mae Bidwell.

He was a farmer of both livestock and agriculture.

He served during World War II as a member of the US Navy.

He was a member of the Immanuel Lutheran Church, where he was a former elder, and a member of American Legion Post 133.

Visitation will be from 4-9 p.m. Friday, December 14^th, and from 6:30-11:30 a.m. Saturday, December 15^th at the Young and Sons Chapel in Perryville.

A funeral for 88-year-old Melvin A. Hoehn of Perryville will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, December 15^th, 2007 at the Immanuel Lutheran Church. The Rev. Thomas Handrick will officiate.

Burial will follow in the Church Cemetery.
