Roy Charles Gruenwald

A funeral will be held Saturday, February 24th, 2007 for 67-year-old Roy Charles Gruenwald of Frohna, who died Tuesday, February 20th at the Perry County Nursing Home.

He was born April 5th, 1939 near Altenburg, the son of Theodore R. and Alma R. (Schuessler) Gruenwald, who both preceded him in death.

He married Helen Norma Jean Rubel on June 13th, 1959. She survives in Frohna.

He is also survived by a son and daughter in law, Kevin and Meredith Gruenwald of Altenburg; a daughter and son in law, Darlene and Richard Murphy of Cypress, Texas; and two granddaughters, Rachael and Kristen Gruenwald.

He was also preceded in death by a brother, the Rev. Edward G. Gruenwald and a sister, Norma R. Steffens.

He was a life long farmer and hard worker in a variety of additional jobs during his lifetime.

He was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church in Altenburg.

Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Friday, February 23rd and 6:30-8:30 a.m. Saturday, February 24th at the Young and Sons East Perry Chapel.

A funeral for 67-year-old Roy Charles Gruenwald of Frohna will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, February 24th at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Altenburg. The Rev. Steven Dressler will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

The family prefers memorials to be made to Trinity Lutheran Church or Lutheran Hour Ministries.
