Sylvester A. Bohnert A funeral will be held Saturday, February 24th, 2007 for 94-year-old Sylvester A. Bohnert of Perryville who died Wednesday, February 21st at the Perry County Nursing Home.
He married Albertine Wibbenmeyer on March 4th, 1935. She preceded him in death. He married Gladys Duvall Mattingly on May 30th, 1995. She preceded him in death. He is survived by a close friend, Ruth Verseman; a daughter and son in law, Rose Mary and Harold A. Ruesler of Jackson; a son and daughter in law, Michael and Judy Bohnert of Perryville; three stepchildren, David Mattingly of Union, Darwin Mattingly of Perryville and Ruth Ann Mueller of Villa Ridge; a sister, Isadore I. Bohnert of Perryville and a brother and sister in law, Harold and Lillian Bohnert of Perryville; seven grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren. He was also preceded in death by two brothers, Edgar and Arthur; and three sisters, Doris Sklebar, Rose Kehm and Corrine Dreis. He was a dairy farmer. He was a former member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Apple Creek and a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Perryville. Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Friday, February 23rd and 6:30-9:30 a.m. Saturday, February 24th at the Young and Sons Funeral Home in Perryville. A Catholic wake will be held Friday evening at the funeral home. A funeral for 94-year-old Sylvester A. Bohnert of Perryville will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, February 24th at the St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Perryville. Burial will be in St. Michael's Cemetery in Apple Creek. |
