Vernon E. Bachmann A funeral will be held Friday, May 18th, 2007 for 81-year-old Vernon E. Bachmann of Farrar, who died Tuesday, May 15th, 2007 at the Perry County Nursing Home.
He married Mildred Mueller September 25th, 1949. She survives He is survived by three sons and daughters in law and six daughters and sons in law, Kathryn and Willard Fritsche of Farrar, Diane and David Christian of Los Angeles, CA, Karen and Bradley Nolen of Arnold, Mary and Wayne Koenig of Farrar, Mark and Melissa Bachmann of Harwood, John and Kathryn Bachmann of Perryville, Deborah and Jim Wallin of Teutopolis, IL, Carolyn and John Manno of Florissant, Daniel and Renee Bachmann of Perryville; five sisters and two brothers, Doris Gabbert of Henderson, Florence Neu of Lake City, FL, Neomi Schuessler and Ruby Mueller, both of Perryville, Robert Bachmann of Frohna, Ellen Schultes and Edward Bachmann, both of St. Louis; 29 grandchildren and six great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two infant sons and an infant granddaughter. He was a dairy and agriculture farmer. He served in the Army during World War II. He was a member of the Salem Lutheran Church in Farrar, sung in choir, and was a past member of the American Legion. Visitation will be from 4-9 p.m. Thursday, May 18th, and from 6:30-8:30 a.m. Friday, May 18th at the Young and Sons Chapel. A funeral for 81-year-old Vernon E. Bachmann of Farrar will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, May 18th, 2007 at the Salem Lutheran Church. The Rev. Roger Abernathy will officiate. Burial will follow in the Church Cemetery.
