Erline P. Emmendorfer

A funeral will be held Saturday, November 24th, 2007 for 81-year-old Erline P. Emmendorfer of Perryville, who died Wednesday, November 21st at Perry County Memorial Hospital.

She was born December 17th, 1925 in Perryville, the daughter of Hubert B. and Florence L. (Bergman) Prevallet, who both preceded her in death.

She married William J. Emmendorfer on October 30th, 1947 in Perryville. He preceded her in death.

She is survived by a daughter and son in law, Joan and Carl Borash of Anchorage, Alaska; a son and daughter in law, Alan and Marie Emmendorfer of Golden, Colorado; a sister, Verna Herron of Perryville; and two brothers and a sister in law, Kenneth Prevallet of Arnold and Dale and Sheridan Prevallet of Perryville; and six grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by two infant sisters.

She worked for International Shoe for 21 years in the office. She then worked for Perry County Mutual Insurance for 24 years until her retirement in 1990.

She was a lifelong resident of Perryville, graduating from Perryville High School with the Class of 1943.

She was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church. She was active in the Ladies' Sodality, Knights of Columbus Auxiliary, Ministry to the Elderly and Perpetual Adoration.

She was also very active with the Perry County Senior Citizen Center, serving on the board of directors.

Visitation will be 5-9 p.m. Friday, November 23rd and 6:30-9:50 a.m. Saturday, November 24th at the Miller Family Funeral Home in Perryville. Parish prayers with the Ladies' Sodality at 7 p.m. Friday. Rosary recited at 9 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.

A funeral mass for 81-year-old Erline P. Emmendorfer of Perryville will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday, November 24th at the St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Perryville. Burial will be in the Mount Hope Cemetery. The Rev. Milton Ryan, CM, will officiate.

Memorials may be made to the St. Vincent de Paul Endowment Fund or to a charity of choice.
