A funeral will be held Thursday, November 29^th, 2007 for 89-year-old Millie M. Abernathy of Perryville, who died Sunday, November 25^th, 2007 at Perry Oaks Manor.

She was born December 10^th, 1917 in Lincoln, IL, the daughter of James and Zelphia (Spinkles) Cadle. They preceded her in death.

She married Hale Abernathy September 13^th, 1938. He preceded her in death.

She is survived by two sons and a daughter in law, James and Carolyn Abernathy of Ste. Genevieve, and David Abernathy of Coos Bay, Oregon; three grandsons and four great grandsons.

She was preceded in death by a son, Andrew, and some brothers and sisters.

She was a homemaker, and a member of the York Chapel Methodist Church, Perry County Art Club and United Methodist Women.

She also volunteered time at Perry County Memorial Hospital.

Visitation will be from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. Thursday, November 29^th at the Young and Sons Chapel in Perryville.

A funeral for 89-year-old Millie M. Abernathy of Perryville will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, November 29^th, 2007 at the Young and Sons Chapel. The Rev. Dr. Sharon Howard will officiate.

Burial will follow in the York Chapel Cemetery in Longtown.
