The Perry County Historical Society, organized in 1971, was incorporated under the General Not-For-Profit Corporation laws of the State of Missouri the same year. The Society maintains a historical home and office/library at 11 S. Spring St. in Perryville as well as a museum, a joint venture with the City of Perryville, at the entrance to the City Park. A project of the Society's publication committee, the quarterly Heritage, was initiated in 1983. It attempts to record and perpetuate the genealogy of Perry Countians and the history of Perry County. Members are encouraged to submit articles for the Heritage or its supplements, as they are prepared. The publications are for sale at our office/library at 11 S. Spring St., Perryville, by mail at P.O. Box 97, Perryville, MO 63775.
